The lodge is located on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park in the upper Teign Valley, bordered by the river Teign and surrounded by accessible woodland,which adjoins National Trust forestry. It has been awarded the David Bellamy Conservation Award, and is a SSSI site.(special site of scientific interest)

Around the park area are stunning river walks, downstream to Dunsford Nature Reserve and Steps Bridge, this area is renowned for its wild daffodils.  Upstream throug Fingle Gorge to Fingle Bridge and the National Trust's woodland walk through to Castle Drogo.  Behind the lodge is a lovely woodand walk with an abundance of wild flowers in the spring.

 The park had swings, climbing frame and slide suitable for small children, with a large area for children to play and ride their bikes.  During the seasons fallow deer often graze nearby and there is a salmon and sea trout river with signs of otter is within yards of the lodge.

 The lodge has double-glazing and central heating for holidaying in all seasons in complete comfort.  It sleeps four and is fully fitted to a high standard.  The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room.  There is a twin bedded room with a sepatate bathroom fully fitted with a shower over the bath.  The utility room includes a washing machine and tumble dryer with an area for keeping coats and boots and a pay phone for your convenience.  The kitchen is fully equipped with all that is neeed for comfort and ease for self-catering including a dishwasher and microwave.  The lounge and dining area with  a vaulted, beamed ceiling sets the theme for a spacious living area, with a leather suite, dining room suite and feature fireplace, we have included a television and DVD player for comfort and relaxation.  The lounge has two patio dooors that open onto a wooden veranda complete with hardwood garden table and chairs. All linen and towels are provided.
